Reasoning Mind believes that the primary goal of mathematics learning is to first obtain solid logical reasoning skills, and then expand these skills into the ability to think creatively and in non-standard ways. To achieve this goal, students must be taught theoretical concepts and develop true understanding of mathematical ideas; concurrently, they must reinforce their knowledge with repetitive skills practice in the form of problem solving. These two abilities – the ability to understand theory and the ability to solve problems – are not just essential independently; in mathematics, they are inextricably connected.
