Reasoning Mind has been endorsed by several prominent organizations.

The Philanthropy Roundtable featured RM in Achieving Teacher and Principal Excellence: A Guidebook for Donors. This publication gave 10 big ideas in need of support, one of which was to "maximize strategic use of technology in the classroom." Reasoning Mind was given on pp. 117-118 as the best example of an organization that is making this happen.

The National Council on Teacher Quality praised RM’s professional development component as showing promise for dramatically increasing the mathematics competence of teachers.

“Teacher preparation programs are properly responsible for equipping elementary teachers to navigate the mathematical demands of the classroom. Yet as hopeful as we are that the pace of dramatic reforms in teacher preparation will be rapid, many mathematically weak graduates of preparation programs will join their counterparts among the ranks of current teachers. Sustained inservice training directed by mathematicians and mathematics educators is essential to imbue the practice of those professionals with a deeper conceptual understanding. Numerous training programs for current teachers such as the Intensive Immersion Institute of the Massachusetts Mathematics and Science Partnership, the Vermont Mathematics Initiative, and the training associated with a new software-based curriculum entitled “Reasoning Mind” show promise for dramatically increasing the mathematical competence of their graduates. They should be expanded and replicated.”

The Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas (TAMEST) released a report, The Next Frontier: World-Class Math and Science Education for Texas. The report includes Reasoning Mind in a short list of “ideas that get an A+” and thus should be replicated across the state. RM is the only core mathematics curriculum program included in the list. The report says of Reasoning Mind:

“Effective technology-based programs have high scalability and, therefore, high potential for success. The Reasoning Mind mathematics education system is a prime example of such a program. Reasoning Mind uses the Internet to deliver a math curriculum to grades 2-6 that delegates routine instructional tasks to the computer and frees the teacher to address students’ individual needs. Studies show that Reasoning Mind students perform 10-20 percent better than their peers on TAKS and other math achievement tests, and 76 percent of students say they like math more than before they participated in the program. Due to its student-centric approach, the program benefits a broad spectrum of students, from special-need to gifted and talented.”

According to the NCTQ, Reasoning Mind’s teacher training program shows promise for dramatically increasing the mathematical competence of its graduates.
