California State NAACP Endorses Reasoning Mind
May 23, 2011
As part of its longstanding commitment to improving mathematics education, the California State Conference of the NAACP has officially endorsed Reasoning Mind. At its 23rd annual convention, the organization passed a resolution to “encourage parents, teachers and communities to consider implementing the Reasoning Mind Program as part of their endeavors to enhance the learning skills of students.”
The resolution explained that RM is “designed to significantly enhance the math understanding of students at an early age, [and] has proved to be successful in a number of schools across the nation and in California.”
In response to this announcement, RM President and CEO Alex Khachatryan said, “The California NAACP has been a steadfast supporter of Reasoning Minds growth in the Bay Area, and we are honored to receive its endorsement. We hope this resolution will allow for greater expansion of the program in California and give more students the opportunity to receive a first-rate mathematics education.”
