Reasoning Mind Announces Partnership with the Kenny Thomas Foundation

November 20, 2009

Reasoning Mind recently announced a partnership with The Kenny Thomas Foundation, an organization working to provide after school tutoring, professional mentoring, and merit scholarships to economically disadvantaged students.

The Kenny Thomas Foundation will partner with RM to expand the availability of the Reasoning Mind program to areas the Kenny Thomas Foundation serves. Currently, the Kenny Thomas Foundation is active in Albuquerque, and has plans to expand to Sacramento in 2011, and Philadelphia in 2012.

“The Kenny Thomas Foundation is excited to expand into the grade school level with a solid program like Reasoning Mind,” said Kenny Thomas, President and CEO of the Kenny Thomas Foundation. “The program is interactive, educational, and most of all fun. The kids will have a good time while learning necessary skills for life.”

As Reasoning Mind provides students with a world-class mathematics curriculum and a solid mathematics foundation, the Kenny Thomas Foundation empowers students academically through one-on-one tutoring and mentorship opportunities. The partnership between these two organizations gives economically disadvantaged youth access to a powerful combination of world-class curriculum and individual academic assistance.

“We are pleased to partner with an organization with a similar focus to ours on student achievement and academic excellence,” says Alex Khachatryan, CEO of Reasoning Mind. “Students who have access to both the Reasoning Mind system and the one-on-one mentorship made possible through the Kenny Thomas Foundation will have increased chances for academic success. This partnership is a step towards creating a generation of college-bound students.”

The Kenny Thomas Foundation was established in 2007 and launched to assist students in preparing to pursue higher education. It provides academic support that helps improve students’ success in high school and college. “The math problems I had the opportunity to try in Reasoning Mind program challenged even me, as an adult,” said L.J. Garfield, Executive Director of the Kenny Thomas Foundation. “We decided to fund this program because it will help children learn the logic skills needed to be successful as adults.”
